High School Mondays
Starting January 9th, 2023

Real Estate and Property Ownership.   8:30-9:20.

Beginning with a history of property ownership through source documents, why it is important to Americans, moving through basic concepts of property ownership – what is is, and how to keep and lose it, contracts, deeds, taxation, zoning – and finally, purchasing property with tips on what to look for and avoid.

Picture Study 9:30 -9:50.
We will study one of the great Dutch masters of the Northern Renaissance. 

Literature: Poetry and Classics.   10:00 – 10:50. 
Inspiring a love a poetry and literature through  thoughtful discussion of beloved classics.

Natural History: Nature Walks, Journaling, and Object Lessons. 11:00-11:50.
Natural History students will ramble with their journals through more than 3 acres of land. Lessons will utilize a creek, pond, gardens, orchard, and chickens.

Semester = Monday, January 9, 2023 –  Monday, April 24, 2023

Location.
 3650 Golden Eagle Circle, Blair NE  (Irvington exit, north 7 mi, on Hwy 133)

Class notes.
-Classes follow the motto  I am, I can, I ought, I will.
-Grades are based on attendance, participation, homework, and exam.
-Picture Study and Natural History will be in-class work. Real Estate and Literature will have in-class work and homework.

About the teacher.
Lisa Eveland-Osika is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Nebraska. She has over 15 years experience homeschooling and teaching students using the methods of Charlotte Mason. She is a speaker for Charlotte Mason’s philosophy and has published curriculum, helping families with their own Living Education.
