The Elson Readers Book One

This book expands the task of teaching reading. They type and spacing are expanded for ease of letter recognition. The stories are longer and their structure is a bit more complex. Illustrations provide visual clues to the meanings of the stories. A Word List can be found at the end of the volume. Sound wholesome character development has bot been forgotten and this book contains moral stories from Aesop, along with folk tales and charming stories from Endora Bumstead, Rosetti, Edna Riddleberger and Robert L Stevenson.
