Strange New World by Carl Truman seeks to point out how people’s thinking has changed. Now days we often run into pride related topics whether it’s in school or anywhere else. Strange New World explains why this is and tells us that even though this might seem like a new agenda it’s really been brewing for decades. Carl Truman points out in his book how many famous philosophers like Nietzsche and others have shaped our society’s thinking. If there is no higher power other than ourselves, who’s to say that we can’t do whatever we want?
Something that I enjoyed about this book is that Carl Truman also points out how the LGBT community contradicts themselves. Even their own acronym (LGBT) contradicts itself. This book is also helpful with realizing how Christians can help in these situations. Often Christians do not handle these situations very well and should pay attention to others views and learn to love and forgive them. Reading Strange New World can help Christians realize how the LGBT community thinks so they can better understand them. This way Christians can better help the lost community.
Overall Strange New World offers excellent history of philosophers and how they influenced society to get to the point it is at today.
