____To keep books well loved:
Wash hands
Avoid eating and drinking while reading library books
Turn pages by outside corners, rather than the bottom
Do not dog-ear pages
Do not lay open book face down
Keep books out of the bathroom
Do not write in any books, reading books, coloring books, photo copies, workbooks, or curriculum
____How many:
Per single member -Limit of 5 children’s picture books or 5 textual books per person.
Per family – Limit of 20 books per family.
Up to 5 pieces of curriculum per family.
One puzzle, one game per family or single member.
Large curriculum/texts may be checked out for a year. Smaller curriculum may be checked out up to 6 months.
Some rare books will be available to use at the Library only.

____Checking out:
Books are checked out for 1 month. May be rechecked out for up to 2 months. Curriculum up to 4 months.
An email with the books that were checked out will be sent to you.
To recheck out for a second month, if you do not plan to come to the Library, reply to the check out email, letting us know you are re-checking out the books.
Bring a cloth or canvas bag or tote box to transport and store library books and games.
____How long:
Membership is for one year.
The last month is for return and browsing only, not check-out. If all books are returned, the deposit will be refunded on the last month.
Large curriculum/texts may be checked out for 6 months or longer if there is no one on the wait list. Smaller curriculum may be checked out up to 3 months.
____Membership Charges. And Late, Damaged or Loss Charges:
Regular monthly membership is $15 per month. This will automatically be charged each month.
We accept cash/check. This rate is $200 yearly.
By-the-book membership is $5. A single book may be checked out for one month.
Your first charge will be rung up before you check out books.
Your CC number will be kept on file for convenience and charges if needed.
____Damage/Loss. If books are damaged or not returned, the current amazon replacement value plus shipping for all books will be charged to your credit card.
For cash/check, a yearly membership is $200 with $180 going towards membership and $20 as a deposit refunded at the end of the year if books are returned and undamaged. If loss or damages incur during the year with amazon replacement value exceeding $20 dollars, you will be asked to make up the difference and then resupply the $20 deposit to continue membership or the value for the replacement will come from the remainder of your membership.
If a yearly membership was paid and you must discontinue, please contact us.
___Old Books. A one time refundable deposit will be charged for books that are ‘old’. The charge is based on amazon replacement value. This is refunded when the book is returned in similar shape. Some rare books will be available to use at the Library only.
___ Late Books. After 3 months, books are considered late. They will be replaced through amazon with charges made to your card, or taken from the cash deposit and membership fee if needed. Please be in contact with us if you have unusual circumstances that do not allow you to return the books on time.

Please make no repairs yourself; we have the preferred supplies.
Be mindful at the library. Libraries are quiet spaces. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Bring and use your bag or tote.
Transport books laying flat, rather than vertical.
Use your bag or tote at home to stay organized and store books and games.
