Corrections to Living Geography Text and Teacher’s Notes

I finally had a child with whom I could travel through the beautiful study of geography using Charlotte’s upgraded version – Living Geography. As we worked through the book, I noted changes. Some are minor, that only a perfectionist editor would find. Some are more pertinent. Here are the important edits:

Living Geography text book.
p.67 reads “six rectangular tables” . It should read “four rectangular tables”.

I remember when the mishap for this happened. As I tried (and tried) to get Charlotte’s map to line up to a true ruler so it would be easier for children to measure, I was finally forced to eliminate furniture from the schoolroom. This had to be done with the designer and sometimes changes just make things complicated. When changes are made then every piece of curriculum had to be changed as well. Amazingly, I think I successfully transferred all the editing changes across the curriculum- except this one!

For the text, that is the one main editing change. Given my life circumstances at the time of the final drafts and editing- honestly I’m amazed there aren’t more!

Teacher’s Notes.
p.31 should read “As the earth rolls there is a shadow line” rather than “as the sun rolls”.
p.33 Question 14 answer “Virginia” should read “New York”.
p.60  Question 1 Map Questions add “part of Antarctica”.
p.78  Question 16,  the last 60 is not needed
p.83  “parts of a river” change to “parts of a sea”.
